The house Klimesch
The location of our accommodation is just a few steps away from the lake Mondsee and the village Mondsee - the so called „door to the Salzkammergut".
It is also a great startingpoint for daytrips to nearby locations.
Due to our short distance from Salzburg (just 30 km by motorway) our accommodation is a cheap alternative to expensive hotels in the city.
We can offer you a central position, rooms in many categorys and pricings, comfortable rest areas, a toybox, TV-room, games and book.
It is a pleasure to help you with several trip ideas and insider-information in the peak-season and off-peak-seasons to enable an adventurous stay in the Salzkammergut.
Our house has a photovoltaic installation on the roof and a solar collector to be climat-neutral as close as possible!
Olli and Schnurli, our two house cats are living with us and our guests.

I — Sylvia Klimesch — lead the Pension for more than 20 years. Already in the 3rd generation!
My grandmother used to empty night pots for ladies of the court and guests from Vienna. My parents were able to successfully upgrade the Pension into the „luxury segment" — with fluently warm and cold water in every room.
But that's history now. Today – of course – every room has a shower and toilet, hair dryer, TV and W-Lan. Our solar panels ensure for green energy and our electricity comes from our new 39 kW PV-Installation. We also heat by air heat pump. Summed up: we are climate neutral!
In 2014, our last guestroom was renovated. Oiled wooden floors, box spring beds, flat-screens and modern baths with hairdryers ensure a comfortable stay at our accommodation. The family rooms got new equipments in spring 2017. In winter of 2021, our two single bedrooms were renovated and are now hotel standard.
There is always plenty to do — and we are ready for the upcoming season :-)

| 2011 | The facade of the house got renovated and a full thermal protection was installed. |

All of our TVs were replaced with flat screens and our family room got new furniture. We also managed to detect the cause of our wet basement — an old and clogged rain gutter used to be the problem :-) |

2017
|
In autumn, our oil heating was replaced with an air heat pump. An additional farewell to the petroleum age! |

Renovation of our single rooms to become hotel standard. |
